Septembernatt Label Night: Silverkulten + Nära Döden + Bromander
Silverkulten
On September 20, Silverkulten will finally release their long-awaited third full-length album På kollisionskurs med samtiden (On a Collision Course with the Present) digitally and on LP via Septembernatt. The release will be celebrated with a big event at Oceanen on September 21, together with label mates Nära Döden and Bromander.
Silverkulten is a Gothenburg band that has been scattered across different locations almost as long as the band has existed. With the third album, a homecoming to the west coast is glimpsed, both geographically and musically. The band's songs express a nostalgic, blue-eyed longing for something familiar, but also a sharp desire to start anew. With one eye glancing at the past and the other tightly shut against the future, the band continues to drift along foggy roads.
Nära Döden
One might think that Nära Döden is just another intense indie band from Stockholm, but in fact, it's a "come-hell-or-high-water" kind of music for the whole family. There's only one way to play rock music, and that's straight and hard. Their second album is on the way, but in the meantime, you can hear a preview at Oceanen. See you there.
Bromander
Bromander, the son of Åland, has established his own niche of elegantly unpolished pop in Swedish. Since the start, he has released three albums—Du sköna nya värld (2017), Underströmmar (2020), and Skarabé (2022)—a body of work that Nöjesguiden has described as both timely and classic. On March 15, Bromander released his new EP De blindas stad, a collection of songs about the journey from the Åland archipelago to the bustle of the big city, set to the tones of powerful and atmospheric alternative pop. "There are few artists in Sweden who so beautifully blend the pop-rock of the '60s and '70s with modern indie pop as Staffan Lindström, aka Bromander. And this fact remains true after the latest EP De Blindas Stad." - Gaffa 2024.
DJ
DJ for the evening is Filip Lundgren, founder of the label Septembernatt, who will be spinning everything from Swedish indie and chart-topping pop to a few old favorites, maybe a bit of Britpop, and something obscure from the coastal towns of Norrbotten from the early 2000s.

Accessibility
The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Personal assistants do not need to purchase their own ticket, but we ask you to contact us in advance so we can issue a ticket for the person.
Please note that flashing lights may occur during concerts and events. For questions regarding accessibility email Mia Herman at mia@oceanen.com.
