The music Twenty Fingers Duo perform emerges at the intersection of extended playing techniques and graphic scores, with great emphasis on the stage setup and the mingling between light and darkness. Twenty Fingers Duo actively participate in and initiate contemporary art projects, with a strong focus on collaboration with artists from other fields. The gamut of their activities ranges from standard concert appearances and interdisciplinary performances to collaborations in contemporary opera, theatre, dance, and film productions.
21.00 - 21.40: Taavi Kerikmäe och Anna-Liisa Eller [EST]
Anna-Liisa Eller and Taavi Kerikmäe are brilliant musicians who have performed together as an unusual duo of Estonian kannel and keyboards for several years. In their mutual performances they have fascinatingly blended early and contemporary music. Kerikmäe performs on the piano, theremin, keyboards and custom-made electronic instruments. Anna-Liisa likes to broaden the possibilities of Estonian chromatic kannel. This hardly known exotic instrument with surprisingly wide possibilities has been described by different listeners as a sound from heaven.
