Now and then, bands emerge that seek to define something. Their time. A feeling. A way to get through it all. Agitator is just one of those bands, unafraid of grand statements and gestures signaling that much, without resistance, transforms into more. Agitator is a classic band that met as a classic band does: friends hanging out in a group. Maybe in a rehearsal room in a basement in Kungsholmen, maybe on a shaking train through Eastern Europe. In the same way that all members bring their specific ingredient to the cauldron, Agitator's songs move in all possible directions, pulsating organically.

Over the past two years, Nemo Sparding and his backing band The Pictr have made a journey from the bedroom-produced singer/songwriter projects to a bigger and more band-based sound with influences like The National, DIIV & The Strokes. Last year the EP "All The Lies In Truth", was released which explores themes ranging from lost love to a yearning to escape the present and the situation one can find themselves in as a 19-year-old living in Gothenburg. Lost and hopeless, yet with the underlying hope that one is forced to live on After support gigs for Terra, performances at the Viva Sounds festival, Nemo Sparding is soon ready with a new single that will be released on April 19.

The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. When visiting us with mobility aids the best-suited entrance is through the stage. This entrance is accessed via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
