Stockholm-based duo Stilla Havet, consisting of Elias Eriksson and August Borg, have managed to break all language barriers, having toured Germany, France, Japan and Thailand as recently as June 2023. With a holistic approach to synthpop and its aesthetics, Stilla Havet becomes a universal affair. Last year saw the release of the album Natten, a 12-song experience of neon-clad kraut, a rumbling darkness under a sky of disco balls, and a longing for love in a dystopia. Together with Christian Gabel (bob dog, 1900) as producer, The Pacific Ocean is a poignant depiction of our time.

The Gothenburg duo Abus Lang emerged during a long and cold autumn on Ringön. Sometime after a magical taxi ride through the Tingstad tunnel on the way to the studio, with Blue Monday playing at an unreasonably high volume and a driver who got all excited and forgot about time and space, the duo decided it was time to get a drum machine and synthesizers. On their latest single, Golden Touch, serves up pulsating synth mats, static drum machines and dirty Vänersborg guitars.

The Cultural Center Oceanen is a Q-marked culturally historical building, which is challenging when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to have as many people as possible visit us. The entrance is locked, please email us the day before your visit or the latest Friday at 16:00 if you are visiting us during the weekend. We have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
